Altar Servers

Children and youth in 4th grade and above are welcome to serve as altar servers. This ministry provides the opportunity to assist in the celebration of the liturgy as book bearers and table servers. Because of the intimate involvement with the liturgy, the ministry of altar server leads children to a greater appreciation of the Mass, and a deeper awareness of the importance of Christian service. Schedules are created based on family availability and needs of the parish.

Cantors and Psalmists

Cantors are the leaders of song for all weekend Masses. The cantor’s responsibilities include leading the assembly in hymns, songs and responses, teaching new music, and proclaiming the Responsorial Psalm when necessary. Cantors meet/rehearse with the weekly choir rehearsals. The psalmist proclaims the verses of the Responsorial Psalm, and leads the assembly in the refrain.
