Grounds for Belief

Weekly on Mondays
From 2-3:30 PM

Everyone likes a good book and a nice cup of coffee or tea!

Grounds for Belief is a new Ladies Bible Study in a casual, café-style atmosphere, where we will take a fresh look at the greatest book ever written: the Bible! The Bible is a complex book with an ever-changing cast of characters, time periods, and settings. Yet it all carries one message: God’s salvation. God wants to rescue all lost and hurting people, and it all points to Jesus as our Savior. By experiencing the Bible as a whole story, you will gain a deeper understanding of Jesus’ perfect love for you, that God had you in mind from the very beginning, and that there is great purpose for your life. So please come and join the discussion…it might just give you deeper “grounds for belief!” Contact Eileen Heide at This email address is being protected from spambots. Miracle in Rwanda

Reserve your seat now! Miracle in Rwanda April 6, 2019 7:00 PM

This one-woman play tells the incredible story of Rwandan genocide survivor Immaculée Ilibagiza, a modern day messenger of hope and forgiveness. Actress Leslie Lewis portrays the story of this amazing woman spending 91 days in hiding with six other woman in a small bathroom. Prayer leads her beyond fear and rage to a deep, intimate connection to God and ultimately to freedom.

This off-broadway show has received great acclaim in its run to being named the Official Artistic Representation for the 25th Anniversary of the Rwandan Genocide. The United Nations remembers this event each year in hopes that we "nurture the courage to care and the resolve to act...and ensure that what happened in Rwanda is never repeated, anywhere, every again.”

Christ Our Light has secured a special performance for our parish in New York City with a reception with the actress after the show. Tickets are $60 each. Seating is limited; a maximum of 80 tickets will be sold.  Bus transportation is an additional $35, with 55 seats available on the bus.  Reserve your ticket here or contacting Cathy Johnson, This email address is being protected from spambots. Summer Serve - NeXt Program sponsored by Lily Foundation

Our parish has been chosen to participate in an additional mission trip opportunity called Summer Serve through the Center for Faith Justice and sponsored by the Lily Foundation.  It is a grant to help congregations design, test and implement new models for nurturing the religious lives of middle and high school youth and for engaging them more fully in the congregations' missions and ministries.

CFJ received grant funding for its project "NeXt Level: The WorX Continues."  The project is designed to institute youth-led parish-wide campaigns rooted in service and justice at select partcipating Catholic congregations across the greater New Jersey region.  NeXt Level will build on the core tenets of CFJ's long-standing and proven WorX program model and empower youth participants to take their passions to the "neXt level" within their home parish communities.  The objective is to pilot this initiative at six parishes in 2019 and then expand its scope in 2020 and beyond.  The total grant is five years.

If you are interested in participating or would like more information, please email Sherine Green at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
